June 2: On Sunday, June 2nd, Patricia Smiley will moderate a panel at the 13th Annual El Segundo Author Fair with panelists Rochelle Staab, Linda O. Johnston, Ed Kovacs, Tim Hallinan and Todd Shimoda. “The Butler Didn’t Do It: Writing the Modern Mystery” will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., followed by a book signing from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The library is located at 111 W. Mariposa Avenue at Main in El Segundo. The Fair will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

June 15 SPEAKERS BUREAU EVENT: Lisa Brackmann, Naomi Hirahara, and Jeri Westerson will speak about writing novels set in international locales, 2:00 p.m. at the Santa Monica Public Library’s Ocean Park Branch, 2601 Main Street, Santa Monica.
